What happens during the planning call?
Before the call, you fill in a short questionnaire about your dates, who is travelling, your pace and your interests. During the 60 minutes, Guido goes through your answers, asks the questions that matter and shows you places, stays and experiences that fit. One to two weeks later, you receive your proposal.
How much does the planning call cost?
The planning call costs €50, paid when you book it. If you then book your trip with borGO, the €50 is credited in full..
How much does a tailor-made trip to Abruzzo cost?
As a guide, the tailor-made trips we design cost between €150 and €350 per person per day, including planning and support. The stays, experiences and services you choose shape the final figure, and your proposal shows the full price before you commit.
How long does it take to receive my proposal?
One to two weeks. Before we send it, we check availability with every stay, guide and driver, so what you see is what you can book.
What is in the proposal?
Your trip stop by stop: where you stay, the experiences and services day by day, photos of each place, our suggestions on what to add, and the full quote with a payment plan.
Do I have to book my trip with borGO after the call?
No. The proposal is yours to consider. If you decide not to go ahead, the €50 covers the preparation, the call and your proposal.
Who is the planning service for?
Couples, families with or without children, and private groups of up to six people who want a trip shaped around them rather than a standard tour. For larger groups, write to us.
Can you help with a genealogy or roots trip?
Yes. We plan trips back to family villages, with help from parish and civil records and visits to the places your family came from. Tell us the surname and the village in the questionnaire.
Can you arrange transfers, trains and ski passes too?
Yes. Private drivers (NCC), Trenitalia tickets, including onward connections to cities such as Rome, Venice or Milan, ski passes, guides and equipment can all be part of your trip.
In which languages is the call held?
It is possible to have the call in English, Italian, and Spanish.
For Dutch, German and French, there are possibilities.
Is my trip protected?
Yes. borGO is a licensed incoming tour operator based in Abruzzo, Italy. The trips we sell are package holidays, with insolvency protection through Fondo Garanzia Viaggi and professional liability insurance.
How far ahead should I book the call?
Since these are unique trips, the ideal booking time is between one year and six months before you travel. This is also best if you want to have more choices for your stay and experiences. For Christmas, Easter and August, book earlier.
