Every signature journey is held to the same standard, whichever one you choose. Accommodation, guiding and local partnerships are all chosen with care, never picked for convenience. Three Journeys
1566
A coast that remembers an invasion. In 1566, ships appeared on the Adriatic, and the villages of this coast have carried that year ever since. Across eight days from Villamagna to the sea, through Chieti, Ortona, Fossacesia, Guardiagrele and Pretoro, you follow what that history left behind: in the food, the fortified villages, and the people still telling the story.
Sakra
A valley that chose its gods early. Long before this valley had a name on any map, someone had already chosen a god for it. Over seven days in the Valle Subequana, alongside the Pro Loco "La Torre" of Castel di Ieri, Sakra follows that choice through an Italic temple, two hermitages cut into rock, and a Franciscan convent, three faiths layered into the same quiet ground.
Insider
A week planned with the village, not for it. Insider is different by design: seven days shaped together with the community you're visiting, built around the simple, genuine things that make up daily life here rather than a fixed list of sights. What you do each day depends on what the village is doing that week, so no two Insider journeys look quite the same.
Who are these journeys for
Signature journeys are for travellers who'd rather meet three people than see ten monuments. If a conversation with someone who lives here means more to you than a photo of where they live, you'll feel at home on any of these three. Each journey keeps groups small, asks a little of you in return (some walking, some unplanned time, a willingness to let a day unfold rather than run to schedule), and rewards that with an Abruzzo most visitors never get shown.

Are these journeys fixed, or can they be adapted?
Each journey has a core itinerary, and each can be adjusted within reason, extended, lightened, or built around a date that matters to you. Insider goes further still: its content is shaped together with the community for each departure.
Do I need to know Abruzzo's history before I go?
No. On all three journeys, the history and the context arrive through the places and the people who explain them, not through anything you need to prepare beforehand.
What benefit do these journeys bring to the communities involved?
Accommodation, meals, guiding and the closing gifts are sourced locally wherever possible, and part of each journey is run directly by the local partners and Pro Loco associations you meet along the way.
Why are these packages are so expensive?
The price reflects the work we do with the communities. These are not simple packages. We work with people who have never worked in tourism and are learning with us. Another important reason is that we prefer quality over quantity, and we want to attract people who truly support this mission and vision of travelling.
