Tucked between the Adriatic coast and the snow-capped Majella mountains, Villamagna is one of Abruzzo's most enchanting medieval villages — and home to one of Italy's smallest and most prestigious wine appellations, the Villamagna DOC, crafted almost entirely from native Montepulciano grapes across just 85 hectares.

With this weekend package, borGO invites you to slow down, breathe in the Italian countryside, and live Villamagna from the inside. You'll stay in a beautifully equipped private house,  your home away from home, where every morning begins with a breakfast voucher to enjoy at your leisure at a local spot.

Over three days, you'll visit two different Villamagna DOC cellars (one is included in the price), each with its own story and philosophy, and step into a local ceramic workshop where artisan traditions have been alive for centuries. 

The package is thought for a weekend from Friday to Sunday evening but it can be extended to create a longer itinerary, fully customized by the borGO team.

        • The private house is fully equipped (kitchen, linens, Wi-Fi) and gives you the freedom to live like a local
        • The wine tasting on day 3 is an extra and can be scheduled with a break after breakfast 
        • Villamagna DOC is one of Italy's smallest appellations, with only 7 producers and 85 hectares — a rare and intimate wine experience
        • Villamagna is located in the Province of Chieti, Abruzzo — easily reachable by car or train to Chieti/Pescara
        • The packages can be booked by couples or groups of couples (max 3 couples). At the moment, the package is not suitable for children.
