borGo began with a simple yet powerful idea: to bring life back to Italy’s most authentic places. Today, that idea is turning into reality thanks to the support of those who believe in slow, sustainable tourism. In Abruzzo, we’ve started connecting with local communities, artisans, and travelers who share our values.

We are currently mapping the region’s most authentic villages—places with strong identities and communities ready to welcome new visitors. We’re developing pilot experiences: artisan workshops, guided hikes with locals, and dinners in private homes. Each experience is designed to create real cultural and economic value.

Thanks to early donations and partnerships, borGo is growing into a network of people united by a shared vision: authenticity, respect, and connection. This is just the beginning of a long-term movement to regenerate Italy through slow travel.
