Why are borGO’s experiences more expensive than average?Because we invest in quality and reinvest profits into the local communities. We pay artisans and hosts fairly, source sustainable materials, and create value that stays in the village. This isn’t just a tour – it’s an ecosystem of support.

Who can join borGO experiences?Everyone is welcome. Our experiences are open to solo travelers, couples, families, and small groups looking for authentic, slower, community-centered travel. In each event or experiences, you will find a description in which you can see possible restrction (if any).

What kind of travel experiences does borGO offer in Abruzzo?We are working to offer you artisan workshops, food and wine tastings, guided nature walks, heritage storytelling, and exclusive events – all created in collaboration with the people who live in the villages. Every experience is curated for depth, quality, and local impact.

How is my money used when I book a borGO experience?Your payment covers the experience, fair compensation for local collaborators, and direct funding for community-based projects. Soon, we’ll share real stories showing the positive impact of every booking.

I’m in Abruzzo but don’t see any activities – why not?We’re just launching and building our calendar based on demand. Some areas don’t yet have active experiences. If you're in Abruzzo, message us – we might be able to arrange something on the date you are around.

I don’t see dates for the experience I want. Can I still book?Very likely! We open dates based on interest. If there’s an experience you love but no active dates, reach out and we’ll try to organize a private or group session for your preferred time.

Can I see the impact of my booking on local communities?Soon, yes. We’re documenting the projects your bookings support – from artisan training to cultural preservation efforts – and we’ll showcase them through our website and social channels. At the moment, we do not have the technical means to show dynamic and updated contend. If you want to know, please contact us and we will inform you.

What does the name 'borGO' mean?“borGO” blends the Italian word “borgo” (meaning small historic village) with “GO”, a call to action. It’s our way of inviting you to actively explore the soul of rural Italy through direct, hands-on experiences.

What makes borGO different from other Italy travel experiences?We’re not mass tourism. Our experiences are co-designed with local communities, focused on real cultural preservation, and hosted by people who actually live in the villages. We don’t stage tradition – we protect and share it. borGO aims to re-invest part of their profit into local communities and villages so that new opportunities arise and young people do not leave their regions.

Where is borGO currently available?We’re starting in select villages in Abruzzo, with new locations being added gradually based on demand and community partnerships. Follow us for updates and new experiences.

Can I book a private or custom experience with borGO?Yes. We could potentially offer custom itineraries, private village experiences, and team retreats for groups and small events. Just contact us and we’ll build something unique together. However, due to the begining of the project, we might not be accomodate all the type of request. Do not be mad, we are growing!

Does borGO organize local events or festivals in Abruzzo?Not yet, but that would be super cool! We could co-create special events and seasonal festivals in collaboration with local residents. Have you got any suggestion or idea? Please contact us.

Some activities take place in historic areas with uneven paths or limited infrastructure, while others are more adaptable. If you have any mobility or accessibility concerns, please reach out before booking – we’ll do our best to recommend or adapt an experience that suits your needs.
